Your Expected Delivery Date (updated Mon – Fri)

UPS Ground: Orders placed by 2pm ET Monday through Friday will very likely make our UPS pick up that day. But, occasionally stuff does happen here to delay order processing a day and almost anytime there can be inclement weather which could slow UPS transit and delay delivery a day or sometimes two days for unusually bad conditions.
USPS Priority Mail: You can elect to have your Sponge Candy shipped USPS Priority Mail by requesting it in the Check-Out page’s Comments box. Often Priority Mail cost is close to UPS Ground east of the Mississippi and up away from the Gulf Coast but it can result in additional charges further away from Buffalo and with packages larger than a cubic foot (usually beyond 2 pounds of Sponge Candy). We will charge your card if necessary. Since postal package pick-up is often in the morning, your Sponge Candy will likely ship a day later than if it was going UPS Ground. Time in transit for Priority Mail is usually 2 or 3 days all around the country.
Alaska: We ship a lot of Sponge Candy to Alaska. While our cart will quote UPS Ground only and you already know that USPS Priority Mail will be significantly cheaper, you still can submit the order and not worry. We compare UPS Ground with Priority Mail for all Alaska orders, ship the cheaper way and refund the difference to your credit card or PayPal. There’s an order size where the cheaper carrier flips and UPS Ground becomes significantly cheaper and we will watch that for you.
Hawaii: Shipping chocolate into a tropical climate doesn’t thrill us at all but you want to do it and you understand that we can’t be responsible for melt-downs. That being said, we’ve done it a number of times and haven’t to our knowledge had a melt down (yet). We will only ship with USPS Priority Mail and we may also schedule pick up for your shipment so it won’t spend a warm weekend en route. The cart will calculate your shipping at the UPS Ground rate, we will automatically adjust it to UPS Priority Mail and either refund the overcharge or charge the additional shipping to your card as needed. Good luck on enjoying Sponge Candy in paradise!
The various UPS air services and USPS Express Mail are way costly and more unpredictable that we would have thought, so our shopping cart will no longer quote them. If you have to have it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, the shipping charge can easily be a multiple of the cost of the Sponge Candy. Even a so-called guaranteed-by delivery means nothing as there’s lots of reasons for delay that don’t fall under the guarantee that allows for any refund or adjustment. Maybe USPS Priority Mail will work for you?
